Located in Florida's Broward County, the city of Coconut Creek has a population of about 60,000. It is regarded as one of the best places to live in the state due to its environment and community. Decades ago, the area was named Coconut Creek due to the coconut trees planted there. 

Coconut Creek, Florida, is regarded as the Butterfly Capital of the World. Due to its gorgeous natural elements, the city houses the largest butterfly enclosure in the world. Over 20,000 butterflies and 80 species call this area home. Butterfly World has been a popular tourist destination for over 30 years. It's created a natural habitat for various butterflies. 

The world's largest butterfly enclosure, Butterfly World, features hundreds of birds and thousands of live butterflies at any given moment. There are over fifty species in the exhibit. Over 150 different kinds of butterflies have been observed in a year. The BW Shop features various natural gifts and accessories for all ages. This gift shop also sells ​​a vast selection of garden plants and all the necessary outdoor decorations to create a butterfly world in your backyard.

Although it's possible to walk through the park completely for at least two to three hours, most people stay all day. With so many species of butterflies to see and nearby food options, it makes a great day trip for anyone visiting the Coconut Creek area.
